What I'm reading right now is Reading Lolita in Tehran. It's fantastic so far -- moving, sharp-eyed, lovely.
W.G. Sebald's Vertigo was good, but slow-going (though slim). Jonathan Safran Foer's Everything Is Illuminated was moving, and beautifully thought-out, and with enough resonance to make both the jokes and the heartbreak work. In the end, though, who you're reading the novel for is Brod.
